I purchased the Foundation Jacket 6 years ago and have really liked everything about it. This season, a collision on the slope resulted in a tear I the back of the jacket. I ducked taped it for a while, then picked up a new one for next season. There is nothing not to like about it for skiing, and everyday wear.

My previous jacket was a North Face Gore-Tex shell, but it was breaking down after 20 years. My son gave me this jacket as a holiday gift (in the green color!) and after five days at Steamboat, and another five at Copper, I have found the Foundation Jacket to be excellent! Just the right amount of insulation to pair with a light weight, base layer and medium fleece shirt under most conditions. Roomy enough to wear a small Camelbak under the coat.
Very nice high collar so I only needed a neck gaiter when it was snowing really hard. And I love all the well placed pockets with nice zippers that I could usually open and close with my gloves on. Very functional and looks good. I like the less common color, so my son can pick me out on the slopes from a distance.

Fit is just right, flexible, removable hood is great for clear days. I've been shopping for a year to find the best ski jacket, this is it.

The jacket came, & I skiid 3 days in it. One at Grand Targhee & 2 days at Powder Mtn, Utah. Temps were mid teens to low 20’s. I was warm with a Merino insulator and flannel shirt. One day it snowed hard and I stayed dry. I’m impressed! Great fit, good looks, moves well, warm, and sheds the water. Thanks!
