Meet Klaus Obermeyer and learn about his early years;
when he was a ski instructor in Aspen. Klaus began
Sport Obermeyer in 1947, to fill a necessary need
to create clothing that kept his students warn and dry.
Klaus' love for the sport of skiing, winter in the mountains,
and the great outdoors infuses everything we make.

Born from Klaus Obermeyer's passion for skiing, Sport Obermeyer
was created in 1947 through necessity. Klaus was an early ski
instructor on Aspen Mountain and many of his innovations
