Post War GermanyThe war brought out everyone's resourcefulness and the ability to live on unbelievably limited resources. Klaus soon learned to appreciate whatever he had and get by on the bare minimum; at times even less than the minimum. He carries that keen awareness of his natural surroundings and an intimate appreciation of Nature's gift of food, water and air for one's own survival. |
