Production & ManufacturingOur main production facility is using solar panels at employee's living area to supply water in the summer. In the winter, a steam facility supplies water.. The solar panel array and steam facility are both energy saving and exhaust reducing strategies. Furthermore all factory lighting has been phased in to fluorescent lamps, furthering energy efficiency. We are continually looking for better way to improve efficiencies and to make sure to produce goods in environmentally friendly way. Over the last eight years our Bangladesh factory has planted over 1.2 million trees in their reforestation initiative. They have also moved from solvent based dyes to water based dye alternatives by 44%. During the same period new water retention/reuse facilities have increased by 5 million cubic meters or 130 acres, thereby significantly reducing the production reliance on local fresh water supplies. |
